Thousands march to White House in May Day rally

WASHINGTON -- Thousands took to the streets May 1, for May Day protests being held across the country, including crowds who marched through the District.  May Day is known for labor rallies, but this year events focused on the Trump Administration and undocumented workers.

From DuPont Circle and Malcolm X Park, to the White House.  Monday, chants echoed through the District.

CASA says thousands of people attended the May Day rally in Lafayette Square.

Following the rally, DCW50 caught up with the Reverend Jesse Jackson, who weighed in on the thousands who participated in demonstrations across the nation.
