OXON HILL, MD --  A Maryland father is pleading for your help. Michael Muse and his family have been living in agony for almost five years, wondering about what happened to their son: Christian Muse.

He's been missing since July 15, 2012.

The Prince George's County Crime Solvers website reports that Christian was last seen in the Glass Manor area of Oxon Hill. At the time of his disappearance, he was 19 years old and had just completed some college courses to begin working as an HVAC technician.

In the years since he vanished, his bank account hasn't been touched, and no one has heard from him. At one point, Michael thought his son was suffering from memory loss, and that it could have had something to do with his disappearance.

"Just like a lot of teenagers he was experimenting with drugs and to what degree I don’t know. I know sometimes depending on the situation or the type of drug that could happen," said Michael Muse, Christian's father.

Shortly after Christian went missing, his father tells me a DC Police detective contacted him to try to find answers in a separate investigation that could have been linked to his son.

"Before christian went disappeared he had been exploited by some adults who had a child sex pornography ring," Michael said. "So nine months after he disappeared a DC detective who said was working with conjunction with the FBI was questioning me trying to find Christian and another group of boys to use as witnesses to solidify their case against these adults what's strange and scary is that he couldn't find any of these boys."

As time passed, and days turned into years anguish grew in the family.

Michael, gave up his 401K as a reward to anyone who had information on Christian's whereabouts and is even asking for money on a GoFundMe account.

The family is hoping to raise one hundred thousand dollars to encourage someone who knows something to come forward.

"I am spiritual person and I know there's a possibility that he may not be here with us any more so with that, closure is better than this," Michael said.

Despite the many years christian has been missing, the family remains hopeful, that he will return home safe. His picture and information are currently posted on the Prince George’s County Crime Solvers website.  DCW50 reached out to Prince George’s County investigators, along with DC Police and the FBI to get an update the status of this missing person’s case, we are still waiting for answers.
