FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A man is dead after police say an argument among a group of men in Alexandria led to one of them being fatally shot on Saturday.

The victim, Enrique Vanterpool, 27, is from Alexandria. The shooting occurred at a business in the 5700 block of General Washington Drive.

A detective told DCW50 that the crime was a result of “party rage”.

Police say their investigation revealed a group of men were inside the business, and started arguing. The argument escalated and one of the men was shot and killed around 7:20 a.m.

The men involved appear to have known each other, and police don’t believe there’s a threat to public safety.
