Red Line service restored after fire activity

UPDATE: According to WMATA, Red Line service has been restored between Farragut North and Judiciary Square stations. Delays are expected.

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – According to WMATA, Red Line service has been suspended between Dupont Circle and Gallery Place due to fire activity. D.C. Fire and EMS reported that they were working with WMATA and investigating reports of possible smoke in the tunnel between Metro Center and Farragut North Stations.

At this time, WMATA is advising riders to find alternate travel options if possible. However, they are offering shuttle buses between the affected stations.
