Arrest made in Maryland townhouse arson

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - Officials say a man has been arrested for crimes related to a fire that occurred in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

The fire occurred at a townhouse in the 11500 block of Dunloring Drive on April 3rd. Firefighters arrived to find the fire showing from all three levels of the townhouse, and the fire extended to and damaged two other townhouses in the area. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling the fire; both were treated and released from the hospital. Eight adults and one child were displaced from their homes.

Officials say that investigators determined arson to be the cause of that fire and began identifying a suspect. Fire officials say they arrested Aaron Christopher Davis on Tuesday. He is facing numerous charges, including first degree arson and attempted first degree murder.
