HOWARD COUNTY, Md. — A man from Ellicott City has been charged with four counts each of distribution and possession of child pornography, after Maryland State Police conducted an online investigation into his Internet activity.

Police say they found numerous images and/or video files of child pornography on the computer of Frederick Saddic, 64, after they served him a search warrant around 6 a.m. on Thursday.

Investigators reportedly had downloaded child pornography from the Internet, then analyzed what IP address it came from. After their analysis led them to Saddic’s home, they got a search warrant.

Saddic was positively identified and arrested shortly after. He is in the Howard County Detention Center, awaiting a court appearance.
