FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Thousands of dollars worth of iPhones were stolen on March 15 from a Target stock room, police said.

Investigators say, a woman portrayed herself as an employee at a Target on Richmond Highway and gained access to the stockroom. Once inside, the Mount Vernon Police District says she put $40,000 worth of iPhones in a box and left the store.

Detectives say the suspect they are searching for is not affiliated with the store, but did have information on the store’s procedures, employee hours and where the iPhones were stored.
