Parents concerned about school safety after student stabbed during class

TEMPLE HILLS, Md. - The Prince George's County Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred Monday morning near a high school in Temple Hills, Maryland.

According to officials, police responded to the 6900 block of Temple Hill Road near Crossland High School. At this time, officials say that the victim, a student at the school, was engaged in a verbal argument with the suspect. Police say that argument turned violent, and the student was stabbed. According to police, the victim was transported to a local hospital with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.

Officials say that the responding officers were able to locate and arrest the adult male suspect and recover the weapon used in the attack.
