WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today we caught up with the D.C. Fire Department's Emerald Society when they performed traditional Irish music on pipes and drums in Freedom Square on St. Patrick's Day.

The D.C. Emerald Society also marched last weekend for the 15th straight year in the city's St. Patrick's Day parade, which marched down Constitution Ave.

The Emerald Society is a nationwide organization of police officers and firefighters of Irish-American heritage.
