Montgomery County officials offer Winter weather tips

MONTGOMERY CO., MD — As the area braces for a winter storm, the council members are urging Montgomery County residents to be ready.

Before the storm, county officials ask residents to check with neighbors or elderly family members who may need special assistance.  Other tips include, stocking up on food, water, batteries, medication.

Some of the tips, council members are offering include subscribing to “Alert Montgomery” you can do so by going to the website: These alerts can be sent to cell phones, pagers, and wireless PDA’s.
