WASHINGTON – A mix of snow, sleet and rain will develop across the region this evening.  The rain/snow line will likely set up near I-95 overnight and then shift east tomorrow morning.  We are expecting 2-4 inches of snow and sleet in the District with 4-8 inches to the west.

Amounts of 8-12 inches are possible out towards the I-81 corridor and into the Frederick area.

In Metro DC, the mix of snow and sleet (and rain) will come down heavy at times.  It will likely change to all snow, with some good bursts for the morning commute.  Be aware and plan accordingly!  The steady snow should taper to flurries and snow showers during the afternoon.
