LAUREL, MD —  A 48-year-old man is facing several charges after he led police in a 22-mile chase, police said.

The chase started after officers tried to pull over Paul Pattison on March 7 around 11:49 p.m., after officers said they noticed his tags and SUV were the same as a vehicle that had been involved in a different incident in February.  When officers approached Pattison’s SUV, Laurel Police said the driver sped off and got on I-295.

The chase ended in the 2900 block of P Street, SE, that’s when officers arrested Pattison.

Both Laurel Police and the U.S. Park Police worked the chase.

Pattison is facing facing several traffic and criminal charges.

Pattison is being held at the Prince George’s County Detention Center. He’s waiting for a bond hearing with the Court Commissioner.
