One dead, one injured in Arlington house fire

ARLINGTON, Va. – Arlington fire officials report that one person died and another person suffered life threatening injuries after a house fire Sunday night.

According to officials, the fire started shortly after 8:00 p.m. Sunday in the 2600 block of South Grant Street. When firefighters arrived, they found hoarding conditions within the home. Firefighters were able to put the fire out.

Officials say that two victims were removed from the home. One of those victims was pronounced dead on the scene. The other was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
