Ashburn babysitter charged with inappropriate contact with child

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — A 66-year-old male babysitter in Ashburn has been charged with kissing a child under the age of 13 with lascivious intent and simple assault.

Police became aware of the allegations against the man, Salomon Sanchez-Bernuy, when a family he was employed by reported him on Feb. 22 for two incidents with their daughter.

Detectives with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office then conducted an investigation in coordination with Loudoun County Child Protective Services.

Detectives are asking any residents who hired Sanchez-Bernuy as a babysitter or tutor, to contact Detective J. Suess of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-0475.
