Fourth suspect arrested in Gaithersburg Park murder
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Detectives have arrested a fourth suspect in a murder that happened on June 17, 2016, this as investigators continue searching for a fifth suspect.
Last week, on February 3, police arrested 18-year-old Josue Fermin Caudra-Quintanilla, who’s been charged with first-degree murder in the murder of Cristian Antonio Villagran-Morales. Officers found the victim’s body on Malcolm Park in West Side Drive in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Cuadra-Quintanilla is being held without bond.
Three other suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of Villagran-Morales. The three suspects are: 16-year-old Juan Gutierrez-Vasquez, who’s being charged as an adult, 19-year-old Vanesa Alvarado, and Oscar Ernesto Delgado Perez, all facing first-degree murder charges.
As for the fifth suspect, Jose Coreas Ventura, 20, also known as Josue Corea,police consider him armed and dangerous.
Montgomery County detectives say this homicide is being considered to be gang-related. Police believe all five suspects are associated with the criminal gang MS-13. Alvarado and Gutierrez-Vasquez told detectives they believed the victim to be a member of a rival gang.
