Savoy Elementary closed due to bedbugs

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Savoy Elementary School in DC will be closed through Feb. 7 due to a bedbug and rodent infestation. DCPS will continue to provide meals for students.

Savoy Elementary School students can get breakfast, lunch, and supper on Monday and Tuesday at Barry Farm Recreation Center, located at 1230 Sumner Road, SE.

  • Students can get grab-and-go breakfast from 8 am to 9:30 am in the lobby.
  • Students can get lunch from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm in the multi-purpose room.
  • Students can get supper from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm in the multi-purpose room.

Savoy Elementary School will reopen on Wednesday, February 8 at the Ferebee Hope Elementary School campus, located at 3999 8th St SE. Because of the distance to Ferebee Hope, DCPS will provide transportation to and from the temporary location.
