Oxon Hill High hosts signing event for senior football players

OXON HILL, MD. -- Oxon Hill High School in Prince George's County hosted a signing day event on Wednesday night where nine seniors signed their letters of intent to play football at Division I and Division II universities. 

The seniors accepted academic scholarships alongside the opportunity to continue their football career in their higher education. 

"They make me proud in terms of what they did throughout the school year, particularly on the football field and in the classroom," said Craig Jeffries, head football coach at the school.

All four former captains of Oxon Hill High School signed letters of intent.

Omari Crum committed to West Virginia Wesleyan College, Jovan Hayes committed to Fairmont State University, Stefan Touani committed to Morgan State University, and Tim Williams committed to Glenville State University.

Other commitments include James Watkins who signed a letter of intent to Saint Francis University, Isaiah Curry who signed to New Mexico Military Institute, DeSean Green who signed to Fullerton College, DeAndre Cuyler who signed with North Dakota State College of Science, and Cameron Deen who signed to Georgetown University.
