DC Police seek suspect who set woman on fire after inauguration

The person of interest

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police are asking for help identifying a person of interest in a case where a woman who lit another woman’s hair on fire around 2 p.m. on Inauguration Day.

They say the suspect walked up to the woman and lit her hair on fire with the lighter. The victim wasn’t injured. The assault took place in the 700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

The MPD has received a lot of tips on this case, but nothing so far has led to them identifying the woman pictured.
