Police search for suspect connected with 3 robberies

BETHESDA, Md. – Detectives in Montgomery County are looking for a suspect they believe is connected to two armed robberies and one attempted armed robbery Thursday morning.

According to officials, the first robbery occurred around 2:51 a.m. at a CVS Pharmacy located in the 6900 block of Arlington Road. Police say the suspect entered the store, approached an employee and displayed a handgun. The suspect then demanded cash and assaulted the store employee. He took an disclosed amount of money and left the store.

The second incident happened around 5:16 a.m at a Rite Aid in the 1400 block of East West Highway in Silver Spring. Police responded to reports of an attempted armed robbery. Officials say the suspect fled from the store without any property or money.

The third incident happened at a CVS in the 7800 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda. Police say the suspect entered the store, brandishing a handgun at an employee. He then demanded money. The suspect got an undisclosed amount of cash from the store and fled.

Police have described the suspect as a black male, wearing dark clothing and concealing his face.
