Person fatally struck by CSX train near College Park

UPDATE: Some Camden lines are running again, according to MTA. Northbound trains will operate from Greenbelt to Baltimore. Trains headed south with terminate at Greenbelt so that passengers can offload and catch the Metro. MTA says there will be delays in both directions.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Prince George’s County Police department reports that a person is dead after being struck by a CSX train near College Park Wednesday morning.

According to officials, the person was struck near the Calvert Road Station. At this time, the CSX and MARC tracks are closed for investigation. The Maryland Transit Administration announced that all Camden Line service has been suspended until further notice. The MTA says that passengers can use either the Metro or Penn Line stations.
