Three dead after car crashes into guardrail in Northeast

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A car accident that happened Jan. 7 is now responsible for the deaths of all three people who were in the vehicle, after the driver succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.

In the early hours of Jan. 7, the driver, 33-year-old Antonio Holroyd, lost control of a Mercedes Benz and crashed the car into the guardrail of a bridge on New York Avenue. The crash ejected his two passengers, who were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The passengers have been identified as Tyrone Waters, 23, and Michael Waters, 34.

Holroyd was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and died of his injuries around 4 a.m. Jan. 19.

This case remains under investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department is asking anyone with information about this case to call the police at 202-727-9099.
