Venus Romero Iraheta

UPDATE: According to Fairfax County Police, Venus Romero Iraheta has been located and is safe.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A 17-year-old girl who attends Annandale High School is missing and may be in danger due to her connections with gang members, say detectives working to find her.

Venus Romero Iraheta was reported missing by her mother on Jan. 9. Her mother called the school resource officer at Annandale High, and the SRO was able to get in contact with Romero Iraheta and speak with her briefly, but couldn’t get her whereabouts.

She was entered into the missing database as a runaway. However, detectives who took over the case say that Romero Iraheta was involved with known gang members and that threats had reportedly been made against her.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective M. Fox at 571-489-1796 or Detective K. Mason at 571-585-2378.
