HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A truck driver has been charged with driving recklessly after he spilled 30,000 pounds of lettuce on I-295 in Henrico.

The truck attempted to pass a car, and his trailer, which had bald tires, began to fishtail. This caused the truck to lose control and strike the car he was trying to pass, then run off the road.

The driver, Denroy Budhan, 32, has been charged with defective equipment because of the bald tires, as well as reckless driving.
