BALTIMORE, Md. -- Two people are dead after a tanker fell from a bridge in Baltimore and exploded, causing a 55-car pileup on I-95.

This was only one of a few bad accidents in the area today. One man died after he walked away from a chain-reaction crash on the Beltway, and a firetruck slid off the road while responding to an accident near Fair Oaks.

Dozens of smaller accidents happened throughout the day, due to ice on the roads from accumulated freezing rain.

The tanker that exploded flew down the highway and struck a jersey wall, at which point it tumbled off the bridge and exploded in flames.
