Shooting in Northwest, D.C. leaves one dead

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday night in Northwest, D.C.

According to officials, officers arrived in the 6900 block of 32nd Street after receiving reports of destruction of property. When they arrived, they found an adult male inside of a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, who police have identified as 21-year-old Grant Copeland Dosunmu, was pronounced dead on the scene. His body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical examiner.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that the suspect was inside the vehicle with the victim. No further details are available at this time.

The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
