WASHINGTON, D.C. -- DCW caught up with the Boubacar Traore Trio when they performed at The Hamilton in D.C., a restaurant, bar and musical venue named for founding father Alexander Hamilton.

The Boubacar Traore Trio is fronted by acclaimed Mali blues musician Boubacar Traore, who has been recording since 1990. More information is available about him here (his website is in French, the language of Mali).

The Hamilton has a full-service restaurant and then a live music space downstairs, which they say is "uniquely designed" for an ultimate blend of entertainment and dining. You can make reservations here.
