Detectives investigate homicide in Capitol Heights

Prince George’s County, MD —  Investigators are looking into a deadly shooting that happened in Capitol Heights on Sunday.  Police said the victim is 23-year-old Deandre Hodge of Cedar Street in Southeast Washington.  So far, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.

Responding officers report that about 7 a.m. on December 3, they were called for a welfare check in the 4700 block of Mann Street. When officers arrived, they found Hodge suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics pronounced him dead at the hospital.

Detectives are working to identify suspect(s) and motive in this fatal shooting.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for any information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
