FAIRFAX COUNTY — Today police found a man who is the prime suspect in the immolation of his girlfriend, an Alexandria woman who had died overnight in the hospital from injuries sustained in the fire.

The boyfriend, Lewis Reeder, was picked Thursday near Richmond thanks to a citizen’s tip, several hundred miles south of where the crime took place.

Police say Delores Williams, 64, was set on fire Nov. 17 after an argument with Reeder, who then fled their shared Alexandria home. She died twelve days later.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective Needels at 571-221-8131.
