DCW’s Weekend Opening Act 11-18-16

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- DCW caught up with composer and multi-instrumentalist Michel Nirenberg at a concert he played Nov. 11 at the Twins Jazz Club.

The Twins Jazz Club is the sister club to the Twins Lounge, which opened in DC in 1986 and became a jazz lounge the following year. The two clubs have hosted tens of jazz legends over the years. Find out more about them here.

Nirenberg is an accomplished musician who specializes in saxophone and has carved out a niche for himself in the DC jazz scene. He grew up playing in Brazil, and the influences of samba and choro music show in his work. You can purchase his music here.
