Students struck with BB gun pellets on UMD campus

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The University of Maryland Police Department is investigating several BB gun incidents on campus. Those incidents occurred early Sunday night.

Police say that a male student reported the first incident around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. The student said that he had struck by BB gun pellets while on Paint Branch Drive between the Kim Engineering and Biomolecular Science Buildings. Around 8:30 p.m., another male student reported that an hour before he had been struck by what he believed to be BB gun pellets while walking along Stadium Drive between the garage and Ellicott Hall. No injuries were reported.

The University of Maryland Police Department is now conducting an investigation into the these incidents.
