BROOKLYN, MD — The Anne Arundel County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in solving the murder of 21-year-old man who was killed Friday night in Brooklyn, Md.

At approximately 6:42 p.m., police responded to a call of shots fired in the area around Levin Road and Alley 16. Officers found Trayvon Dashawn Briscoe, 21, in the alley suffering from gunshot wounds. Fire department personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.

On Saturday, detectives returned to canvas the neighborhood and ask residents if they knew anything.

“This happened at just before seven o’clock at night, so it’s not like it was three o’clock in the morning and there wasn’t a lot of activity around. This was a Friday night in a close knit neighborhood,” said Lt. Ryan Frashure. He added that at this point, police do not know what led up to the shooting or if Briscoe knew the person or people responsible.

Police are asking if anyone has information to call the Anne Arundel County Homicide Unit at 410-222-4731. If you wish to remain anonymous, they can call the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line at 410-222-4700 or Metro Crime Stoppers.
