PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — A man has been arrested on charges of picking up a woman as an Uber driver, then kidnapping her to a hotel and assaulting her.

Police say Westagne Pierre, 29, picked up the woman on the night of October 18th as an Uber fare. He drove the victim to her home in Virginia, but instead of dropping her off, he took her to a hotel in College Park.

When they got to the hotel, Pierre apparently removed the victim from the car and carried her to a hotel room. Shortly after, he used her credit card.

Detectives arrested Pierre on Thursday. He is charged with kidnapping, assault, and credit card fraud.
