Pedestrian collision leaves one in serious condition

ROCKVILLE, Md. – The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating a pedestrian collision that occurred on Sunday night in Rockville, Maryland. Police are now asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the pedestrian involved.

According to officials, around 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the Norbeck Road (Route 28) and Baltimore Road in Rockville after reports of a pedestrian collision. A preliminary investigation revealed that a driver operating a 1999 Acura Integra hit a pedestrian as they were headed eastbound on Norbeck road. The driver has been identified as Jum Soon Kim.

Police have not been able to identify the adult male pedestrian. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains unconscious. He is described as a Hispanic male who is possibly between 35 and 45 years of age.
