LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — A pedestrian was killed Sunday in Sterling after he was fatally struck in a crosswalk by a driver who had a green light.

The driver stayed on the scene and called 911. The pedestrian was Andres Zambrana, 65, of DC. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Zambrama was crossing Sterling Boulevard against the light when he was struck, around 2:25 a.m. Police say that alcohol may be a factor in Zambrama being struck.

The Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney office will review the investigation and decide on possible charges.
