MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. –Police say a woman is reporting her husband shot her and then himself non-fatally after a domestic dispute that occurred this morning.

At 6 a.m. this morning, police received a call from a man who said he wanted his wife removed from their home. They responded to the scene, where no physical fight had taken place, and the wife told police she’d be leaving the home shortly.

About two hours later, fire and rescue reported to the same address after dispatch got a 911 call from the wife saying she had been shot by her husband. She said that her husband shot himself, as well.

Both the husband and wife were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police recovered the weapon used at the scene of the incident, and continue to investigate.
