WASHINGTON, D.C. -- This week's DCW MVP is the standout on a team full of standouts -- DeMatha Catholic School's varsity football team, the Stags.

Coach Elijah Brooks, who leads the Stags, gave us some insight at Friday's game into why the team has been so successful.

"We feel like we`re built differently," he said. "We try to be elite in everything that we do. It shows in our competition."

The team the Stags played on Friday night hasn't won a game against them since 1994. Their starting quarterback is a 4.0 student who's committed to the Air Force. But who stands out most as both an outstanding student and player? Brooks didn't even have to think about it.

"Victor Oluwatimi is a 4.1 student being recruited by all Ivy League schools," he told us. Oluwatimi is an offensive guard on the team.

Congratulations Victor! You're the DCW50 MVP this week.
