U.S. Air Force Band begins jazz heritage series in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- New to Alexandria is the Airmen of Note's Jazz Heritage Series, an opportunity for the public to experience the Air Force's jazz stylings for free, with no tickets or reserved seating.

These concerts will take place every Friday at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center at 4915 E Campus Dr, Alexandria, at 8 p.m.

Special guests include Steve Turre, acclaimed trombonist, who will perform tonight, legendary pianist Cyrus Chestnut, who will perform October 21, and Terell Stafford, Grammy-winning trumpeter, on November 11.
