LATEST: Prince George’s County school bus aide charged with child abuse, assault, other sex offenses

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. -– A school bus attendant is now in custody in connection with the sexual abuse of two young students in his care. The suspect is 38-year-old Michael Patopie of Capitol Heights.
The preliminary investigation reveals Patopie inappropriately touched two students, ages four and five, on a school bus in November of 2015 and in May of 2016. 
Patopie was arrested Tuesday morning. He is charged with second degree child abuse, sexual abuse of a minor, assault and related charges. He is in custody of the Department of Corrections on a $500,000 bond.
