Prince William cop arrested for domestic abuse

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — A police officer in Prince William was arrested on charges of domestic abuse Tuesday evening.

Robert Donnan, 40, was arrested without incident in Dumfries after police responded to a reported domestic incident and were told by the 51-year-old victim that Donnan had assaulted her after an argument.

The woman had minor injuries. Donnan has been reassigned to an administrative position, and his police powers have been suspending pending investigation into the incident.
