ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Is the King Street-Old Town Metro station part of your daily commute?

Metro wants to hear your thoughts on a proposal to revamp the bus bay.

This new plan would reconfigure parking at the station. Short-term metered parking would be eliminated, and Metro would build additional bus bays and create a dedicated area for private shuttles, Kiss & Ride and taxi stands.

Are you in favor? Opposed? Make your opinion known in the following ways:

  • Take a survey online and tell Metro how this proposal would affect you.
  • Attend an open house at 6:00 p.m. and public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Durant Arts Center, 1605 Cameron Street, Alexandria, Virginia
  • Email your comments to writtentestimony@wmata.com

This would be a two-year construction project, with no access to the Kiss & Ride and shuttle buses for the duration of the project construction. If approved, construction would begin in 2017.
