LAUREL, Md. – The Howard County Police Department has charged a Laurel man in the death of his parents. The incident occurred in the 9500 block of Queens Guard Court on Thursday.

According to officials, police went to the home around 6:15 p.m. on Thursday evening to check on the welfare of the residents after reports that they did not show up to a meeting they were expected to attend. When officers arrived, they found Glen White, 66, and Linda White, 61, dead. Glen White was found in a bedroom with what appeared to be a stab wound, while Linda White was found in the basement with what appeared to be blunt force trauma.

After the initial investigation, detectives identified the couple’s son, Craig White, 30, as a suspect. Police located him on Thursday night in Columbia, Maryland and initiated a traffic stop. Officials say he was taken into custody at that time and charged Friday morning.

Craig White is currently in the booking process at the Howard County Detention Center.
