D.C. police investigate homicide of 24-year-old

WASHIGNTON, D.C. – The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 1200 block of 18th Place in Northeast Washington, D.C. on Sunday.

According to officials, police heard gunshots in the area around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday. When they got to the scene, they found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene, and his remains have been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Police have identified the victim as Dante Miller, 24.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
