Two injured in drive-by shooting in Virginia

MCLEAN, Va. – The McLean Police District are investigating a shooting that occurred in McLean, Virginia at the intersection of Dolley Madison Boulevard and Kirby Road on Sunday. Two people were injured in the incident.

According to officials, the shooting occurred sometime after 4 a.m. on Sunday. The preliminary investigation suggests that an altercation broke out between several people at a party in Arlington County earlier in the night. One group left the party in a vehicle and, when they reached Dolley Madison Boulevard and Kirby Road, another vehicle pulled up and fired several shots, hitting the occupants of the first vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene.

Police know little about the two victims at this time. They drove themselves to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. At this time, police do not have a suspect or a vehicle description.
