After the devastating floods that hit Ellicott City on Saturday night, the residents need your help in rebuilding and restoring their town. Below is a list of the ways that you can help in their efforts.

ECStrong is a campaign set up by the United Way of Central Mayrland, and its aimed providing humanitarian aid to those suffering the aftereffects of the flood. They emphasize that 100% of the donations provided will go to this effort. You can either make a donation on their webpage or by texting ECStrong to the number 51555.

A GoFundMe account was created to help Jason Barnes, one of the men who formed a human chain to rescue a driver trapped in the flood. Barnes’ store, All Time Toys, was damaged during the store.

The Community Action Council of Howard County is accepting donations for their food bank. They are seeking the following foods: high protein canned meals with pop tops, like ravioli, spaghetti, and soups, sing serve, ready to eat bars, paper plates, napkins, and plastic silverware, toiletries, diapers and baby food products, water, and can openers.

You can visit the Howard County Food Bank at 8920 Rt. 108 in Columbia, Maryland every day between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The Jailbreak Brewing Company is holding a fundraiser on Thursday evening to help raise money for the recovery efforts in Ellicott City. They will donate half of all their revenue from that evening to charities helping those affected by the floods. They will also be giving away free brewery tours at 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m. Any donations from those on the tour will go fully to charity.

Giggy’s BBQ and Catering will also be at the fundraiser held by the Jailbreak Brewing Company. They will be donating 50% of all proceeds to charity.
