Fairfax police search for ATM theft suspects

FAIRFAX CO., VA – Officials are investigating a series of ATM thefts that have been occurring around Fairfax County.

Police say that more than six cases have been reported between June 18 and July 20. An investigation determined that in all cases, suspects used stolen vehicles to carry out ATM thefts from various businesses in the early morning hours. After the thefts, officials say the suspects abandoned the stolen vehicles in nearby areas.

In all cases, the suspects were described as black, approximately 175-200 pounds, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, and wore dark-colored clothing with their faces covered.
