1 dead after fatal pedestrian collision in Capitol Heights

PRINCE GEORGE’S CO., MD – A teenager is dead after a fatal pedestrian collision in Capitol Heights, police say.

Reports say that patrol officers were called to the 6400 block of Central Avenue for a collision involving a car and a pedestrian at approximately 4:20 p.m. on July 20. The investigation revealed that the car was traveling eastbound on Central Avenue when the car jumped the curb median and struck the victim. The victim, 17-year-old Daiq’uan Fox, was standing on the raised media. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car remained on the scene.
