WASHINGTON, D.C. – The next SafeTrack safety surge, Surge 4, will begin on Tuesday, July 12. This surge will shutdown the Blue and Yellow lines between Reagan National Airport and Pentagon City through Monday, July 18, and no Metrorail service will be available between those stations.

During Surge 4, WMATA asks that riders in Virginia find alternate travel options and avoid traveling during rush hour, if possible. For those who cannot find alternate route, there will be limited shuttle service, as well as enhanced bus service.

  • Braddock Road – Pentagon City — express service for all thru-travelers
  • Pentagon City – Crystal City – Reagan National Airport loop — for use only by riders traveling to/from the airport or Crystal City Station.

For more information on this safety surge, as well as SafeTrack, you can visit WMATA’s website.
