Transformer catches on fire near D.C. hotel

WASHINGTON, D.C. – D.C. Fire and EMS reported that a transformer caught on fire on Desalles Street in Northwest, D.C. on Wednesday evening.

The fire broke out Wednesday evening. According to officials, Pepco is on the scene investigating the incident. Officials report that D.C. Fire and EMS checked on buildings in the area and found no threat. They also did not find any evidence of power outages.
