Police investigate homicide in Northeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide in the 300 block of V Street, Northeast. The incident occurred on Sunday night.

According to officials, round 9:46 p.m. Sunday night, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 300 block of V Street, Northeast. When they arrived, they found an adult male victim in a nearby alley suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and EMS responded to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead. Police have identified the man as Omar Lindsay, 42.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
