Police search for suspect in Prince William County sexual assault

PRINCE WILLIAM CO. – The Prince William County Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect involved with a sexual assault.

Police were called to an apartment located at the 18100 block of Kilmer Ln on June 22 to investigate a sexual assault that was reported on June 20.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 20-year-old woman, was sleeping inside her residence when she was sexually assaulted by an unknown man. Officials say that the suspect is believed to have entered the victim’s residence through an unsecured door. After the assault the suspect left the apartment.

The victim reported the incident to a family member and the next day police were contacted. According to police, the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as male, medium complexion, 5’0″- 5’2″ with a thin build. He was also described as having long black curly hair and an unshaven face. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.

This is an ongoing investigation.
